Kent State University at Stark presents Opera America, performed by The Lyric Theatre Ensemble, on Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Main Hall Auditorium, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The concert is free and open to the public; however, tickets are required. Call the Kent State Stark Fine Arts Box Office at 330-244-3262, Monday through Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m. for tickets.
 
The Lyric Theatre Ensemble, the professional vocal ensemble in residence at Kent State Stark, includes vocalists Catherine Robison, soprano; Laurel Seeds, soprano; James GraySmith, tenor; Kenneth Kramer, baritone; and Kenneth Furlan on piano.
 
Opera America features a full program of arias and scenes, including The Ballad of Baby Doe by Douglas Moore, A Hand of Bridge by Samuel Barber and Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin.
