QuickBooks Training Sessions Offered by SBDC

The Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Kent State University at Stark* is sponsoring training courses on QuickBooks accounting software. Each one-day training session will be held at The University Center at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
 
The fee of $99 for each QuickBooks session includes the training, continental breakfast, morning and afternoon break service and lunch. Space is limited.
 
QuickBooks I for beginners will be held on Friday, August 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registrations will be accepted through August 4.

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn how to create their company’s books from scratch;
  • Learn how to use this accounting software to create meaningful financial statements, profit and loss reports, budgets and forecasts to grow their businesses;
  • Learn how to track sales, set up an inventory and process invoices, checks, bills and payments;
  • Learn some of the features available in QuickBooks Basic, Pro, Premier and Accountant Edition.

 
QuickBooks II for advanced users will be held on Friday, August 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registrations will be accepted through August 11. 

This program is designed for business professionals with a basic understanding of QuickBooks or those who have completed the QuickBooks I for beginners session.

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn how to track sales orders, use credit cards, perform a year-end close and import and export customer and vendor lists;
  • Learn how to master special transactions, including bad debts, petty cash and automatic bank transactions, plus NSF checks, customer deposits and more.
