Kent State University at Stark is sponsoring Super Science Saturday on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fine Arts Building, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
Designed for fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh grade students, participants will perform and observe 16 educational and exciting chemistry experiments, some of which include take-home completed projects, such as t-shirt chromatography, while other activities involve making ice cream in a baggie and magnetic investigations.
The registration fee of $10 per participant includes a t-shirt for the student to tie dye and may be paid by cash, check or money order. Visit www.stark.kent.edu/super-science and print the Super Science Saturday registration form. Completed registrations and payment must be received by Monday, Oct. 28. Super Science Saturday is an activity of the Conceptual Chemistry graduate-level education course and is coordinated by the Kent State University Department of Education.
