Email

  • Always assume that messages intended for e-mail and voice-mail recipients may be accessed by others.  Be discreet in leaving messages.
  • Cut and Paste.  Don't click directly on a hyperlink in an e-mail message.  If the email includes a visible URL, cut and past it into your browser instead of clicking it.
  • Ignore anything with a typo or bad grammar.
  • Never e-mail complete credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or bank account information via regular e-mail.  Only send the last four digits of the number if it is necessary to refer to a name and an account.  NEVER use a Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL or other commercial account to send or receive protected information
