Women's Studies
Women's Studies at Kent State Stark
As an interdisciplinary program, Women's Studies focuses on feminist explorations of gender, sexuality, race-ethnicity, class and nationality and other social, cultural, political and economical practices, constructions and institutions that affect the lives of women. The program develops scholarship about gender and women across time and geographic borders.
Courses emphasize a critical analysis of constructions of gender and gender inequalities as they are challenged and reproduced by individuals and communities, while questioning homogenous approaches to the study of women's experiences.
