2013 Spring Commencement Address:
Merle D. Griff, Ph.D.Merle D. Griff, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of SarahCare Senior Solutions is one of the leading authorities on senior care in the U.S. She is a successful business executive who has led SarahCare® to its current position as one of the fastest growing platforms in this new and rapidly growing industry. Dr. Griff is the immediate past Chair of NADSA (National Adult Day Services Association). She is a member of numerous national committees and advisory boards including the task force on adult day health services for ASPE (Assistant Secretary of Program and Evaluation) in the Department on Aging and the International Advisory Council for CARF (Council for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). She has been a delegate to the last two White House Conferences on Aging.
Dr. Griff is the author of LinkAges, a book on intergenerational programs. She has researched and developed two family therapy techniques that are being used throughout South America, England, Australia, and Eastern Europe. Dr. Griff has written numerous articles and case studies that have appeared in such publications as the Harvard Business Review and the New York Times. She has been invited to present at international conferences such as the World Congress of Family and Child and the Institute for Educateurs. As the co-host of the radio show, Wriggling in the Middle, their blog has won 3 national awards including the national media award from Caregiver.com
