Kent State offers the unique approach of weaving Lean, Six Sigma, Team-Oriented Problem Solving (TOPS) and Theory of Constraints (TOC) methods into a seamless certification that can help you achieve substantial improvements in your organization.

Outstanding Facilitators

Several companies have expanded their program and sent additional candidates for training and certification based on their participants' outstanding reviews of the depth and breadth of knowledge of the Kent State Lean Six Sigma facilitators.

Project
Each participant of Kent State’s Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification is required to complete a project using the methods learned. This will contribute significant
results to the sponsoring organization.

Implementation Expertise
After the training program, Lean Six Sigma facilitators will assist you in successful implementation of Lean Six Sigma principles in your work environment. Kent State also offers other Lean and Six Sigma consulting and project coaching services, as well as on-site training.

Learn the roles of the Champion, Team Leader, Facilitator, Steering Committee and all team members. Gain knowledge of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) rigor. Identify and determine applications for Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints tools, analysis and problem solving techniques. Explore how you will build a culture of continuous improvement in your organization.

 

Investment

Black Belt training is conducted throughout four weeks over the course of four months (160 contact hours). Master Black Belt and Green Belt training is conducted throughout two weeks over the course of two months (80 contact hours).

Green Belt Training and Certification: $3,750
Black Belt Training and Certification: $6,950
Master Black Belt Training and Certification: $4,975
Champion and Team Leader Training: $295


These prices include breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack each day of training. The Black Belt and Green Belt program prices also include two reference books. All participants receive an electronic copy of the participant materials. After the required capstone project is submitted and approved, participant will receive an engraved plaque. Those who earn a Black Belt or Master Black Belt receive the Kent State University Lean Six Sigma polo shirt and are entitled to use the designation â€Ĺ“Certified Black Belt†or â€Ĺ“Master Black Belt†as a professional credential. Lodging accommodations are not included.

Laptop & Software
To maximize the benefit of attending Lean Six Sigma training and to realize a return on investment for future Lean Six Sigma projects, Kent State requires that each participant bring a laptop loaded with current versions of Minitab and Quality Companion to each day of training. Kent State provides you the opportunity to purchase Minitab and Quality Companion for an additional fee.


Kent State's Lean Six Sigma curriculum is structured to provide a high-quality, interactive classroom experience while allowing maximum flexibility in obtaining your certification.
