Stark Fitness & Recreation


The purpose of the Fitness Center at Kent State Stark is to support students, faculty and staff as they increase their skills, knowledge, motivation, confidence and self-efficacy in their decision making that will positively affect the quality of their lives.

We are committed to encouraging students, faculty and staff to live a healthy lifestyle through innovative programs and services that positively influences one’s health and well-being. We also encourage students, faculty and staff to make informed choices, to accept responsibility for their attitudes and actions, and to strive for balance in life which will affect their present and future health.

Students at Kent State Stark can build healthy lifestyles by taking advantage of all the services available through the Fitness Center. Here you’ll find a half-court volleyball and basketball court, dance/aerobics studio, Nautilus weight machine circuit, free weights, treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical cross-trainers and stationary bikes.

Students can also take physical education courses for credit like dance, cycling, yoga, weight training, golf and many more!

Fall & Spring Semesters
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Closed Sunday

Summer Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closed Saturday & Sunday
